Nana's Jam Shack (“we,” “us”) operates nanasjamshack.com. We are a small-batch maker of homemade jams, jellies, preserves, pickles, and salsa in Texas. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it simple: we collect only what we need to respond to you and run the business, and we do not sell your personal information.
Information We Collect
We collect information in two ways:
Information you give us
- You contact us or send a wholesale inquiry through our contact and wholesale forms — we receive the name, email, and message you submit.
- If you email, call, or text us, we receive the contact details and message you send.
- Order information: when you place an order, we collect your name, email, shipping address, the items you purchase, and payment confirmation details. Payment itself is handled by our payment processor, Stripe — your card number never touches our servers.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics: we use a simple, first-party analytics system (built into this website — no Google Analytics or other third-party trackers) to understand how visitors use the site: pages visited, approximate location (country level), device type, and how you found us. It does not use cookies and does not identify individual visitors. See our Cookie & Analytics Notice for details.
- Log data: our hosting provider automatically records standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, used for security and to keep the site running.
How We Use Information
- To respond to your inquiries, requests, and submissions;
- To process, fulfill, and ship your orders, and to send order confirmations and updates;
- To understand how the website is used and improve it;
- To protect the security of the website and comply with legal obligations.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share information only in these situations:
- Service providers.Companies that help us run this website — our website host, our database provider, our payment processor (Stripe), and our website designer (Signal & Form LLC) — receive information only as needed to perform those services.
- Payment processing.Online payments are handled by Stripe on Stripe's own checkout pages. We never see or store your full card number.
- Shipping. We share your name and address with postal and parcel carriers to deliver your order.
- Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
- Business transfers. If our business is sold or merged, customer information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Cookies and Analytics
This website itself does not set cookies for ordinary visitors — our analytics is cookieless, and your shopping cart is stored in your own browser. You can read the details, including what Stripe sets during checkout, in our Cookie & Analytics Notice.
Data Retention
We keep form submissions and correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request and for our business records, then delete or anonymize them. Order records are kept as required for tax and accounting purposes. You may ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).
Your Choices and Rights
- Access and deletion: you may contact us to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We will honor reasonable requests unless we are required to keep the information by law.
- Texas residents:the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act provides certain rights to Texas consumers, including rights to access, correct, and delete personal data. We honor these requests regardless of whether the law's thresholds technically apply to a business of our size.
- Other states: if you live in a state with a consumer privacy law (such as California), you may have similar rights, which you can exercise by contacting us.
Children's Privacy
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
This website is served over HTTPS, and we limit access to personal information to people who need it to respond to you. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Third-Party Links and Services
This website links to third-party sites and services (for example, Stripe's checkout pages and our website designer's site). Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be posted on this page.
